For all of you Fantasy Baseball players out there, I have a good, cheap pickup for you. I'm going to give you two different players. Pay particular attention to the ownership percentages (which shows what percentage of 10-team standard ESPN fantasy leagues each player is owned in). Both players are 1B and 3B eligible.
Player 1
36/129 for a .279 average
19 R
8 HR
33 RBI
1 SB
.874 OPS
97.4% owned (ESPN)
Player 2
36/127 for a .283 average
23 R
9 HR
26 RBI
0 SB
.921 OPS
28.7% owned (ESPN)
Player 1 is Jorge Cantu (Florida Marlins), Player 2 is Casey Blake (LA Dodgers). Based on the ownership percentages, Blake should still be out there in a PILE of leagues. And even if he is taken, he'd likely come cheap via trade. You could do worse for a guy who can cover both corner infield positions.
